Carla focuses her practice in the area of litigation and arbitration. She participates in advising, consulting and representing clients in the resolution of commercial, civil, administrative and corporate conflicts.   She has experience in altenative dispute resolution proceedings and representing clients in national and international arbitration.

Career Path

  • Secretary for the Arbitral Tribunal of the Ambato Chamber of Commerce and the Tungurahua Chamber of Commerce (Arbitration Centre).
  • Associate professor of the assignments contracts, obligations and inheritance law at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
  • Member of the academic committee for the organization of the National Arbitration Competition in Ecuador.
  • Worked as legal consultant at Moore Stephens Profile, Quito, 2015-2016.
  • Completed a professional internship in the Attorney General Office of Ecuador (Mediation Unit), 2015 and in the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce (Mediation and Arbitrarion Centre), 2011.
  • She was Editor-in Chief of the USFQ Law Review, 2016.
  • Represented the San Francisco University of Quito in the International Commercial Arbitration Competition, 2013-2015 and achieved the award for best oral advocacy performance in the second edition of the National Arbitration Competition in Ecuador (2013).
